General descriptions for each species, including nesting information and notes on similar species.

Range maps and calls for each species.

A unique Comparator feature that allows you to easily compare any two images in the app.

An ID quiz that lets you test your identification skills on both images and sounds.

Ability to note the birds you have seen and a personal notes field for each species.

The app is compatible with both the iphone and the iPad.

iPhone
The iphone version is optimized for use in the field. The image index includes short notes and the ability to hear the birds call from the very first screen.

The second screen is a series of images for that species, usually 4-5, along with Kevins descriptions of each image.

The final screen contains the general information and range map.

The Comparator feature is included for quick comparison of similar species.

iPad

The image index on the iPad version divides the birds into family groups and uses larger thumbnail images.

The first profile page for each species is designed as a quick reference page. It provides a quick image review, range map, call, check list and notes section.

The detailed description page for each species includes Kevins Structural ID tip. Each of the typically 4-6 images will open full screen and show Kevins detailed descriptions for that image. Also included is the Bent Life History for that species.

Larger versions of the Identification game and other features are provided.
